Description
DISTINCTIVE QUALITIES: Sea Scallops can be called Diver, Dayboat, Georges Bank, and Maine Scallops. No matter what you call them, they should be sweet and tender. Kolikof New England Maine Georges Bank Sea Scallops are just that, as scallops from Georges Bank are coveted around the world for sushi, and for cooking. Kolikof U10 sea scallops (meaning 10 or fewer per pound) are wild-caught, all-natural, MSC Certified, and flash-frozen upon catch for the freshest, smoothest, cleanest taste.
Don’t forget! Please remember to remove the muscle from the scallop before eating. Just peel off its too tough.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Sea scallops require little or even no preparation, as their sweetness and smooth texture should remain unmasked. Simply pan-sear with butter and seasonings of your choice. For a simple meal, serve atop a creamy pasta. Additionally, Kolikof sea scallops are sushi-quality and can be enjoyed simply crudo (raw).

BEHIND THE PRODUCT: Kolikof North Atlantic Sea Scallops are harvested from Georges Bank, Maine — one of the world’s premier resources for seafood, particularly for scallops, cod, haddock, clams, and many types of shellfish. This fishing ground is pristine and productive, due to its elevated position on the continental shelf, where the warm current of the Gulf Stream meets the cooler current of the Atlantic Ocean.
